THE LIFECENTRE IS A PROJECT MORE THAN 20 YEARS IN THE MAKING.
The story of The LifeCentre....
Over the course of a decade, the church family sacrificially gave nearly £1 million through private donations ranging from £10 to £50,000, united by a vision to create a facility that would serve both the church and the wider community. Additional support came from grant-making organisations passionate about local impact. A major breakthrough came in 2009 when Trafford Council, the landowners, backed plans for a new shared facility to replace both the ageing community centre and church building. That same year, the church became known as LifeChurch Manchester. In 2010, a partnership with King’s Way Church strengthened the vision, with both congregations committing to serve South Manchester together under one roof. Despite the economic recession, LifeChurch Manchester’s trustees stepped forward in faith in 2011, investing more than £3.5 million into a project shaped by over 20 years of prayer and planning. Demolition began in September 2011, and by February 2013, The LifeCentre officially opened as a not-for-profit community hub and conference venue dedicated to hospitality, service, and community transformation.
